Welcome to Maine Kids-Kin,
a program of Families And Children Together.

Maine Kids-Kin provides services to grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings and other family members who are raising relatives' children.

We are currently working to provide additional services and resources to Grandfamilies throughout the State of Maine, please continue to check back often for updates and information.

Beginning January 1, 2013, Maine Kids-Kin no longer receives funding from The Maine Department of Health & Human Services to provide support services to kinship families.  Adoptive & Foster Families of Maine (AFFM) holds the contract for Resource Family Support Services, which includes kinship, adoptive, and foster families.  To learn more about resources and services available to you from AFFM, you can contact them at 827-2331, 1-800-833-9786, or www.affm.net.

Maine Kids-Kin continues to receive funding from several agencies and foundations, and we will be able to continue some of our services for Grandfamilies.  We provide support groups for Grandfamilies twice a month in Bangor, and monthly in Augusta.  Maine Kids-Kin will also still offer a clothing exchange and lending library out of its Bangor office.  These services can be accessed by visiting our Bangor office, but we will no longer be able to mail clothing or books to Grandfamilies.

Our services are free, and every conversation is confidential.
