Wednesday, March 1 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. - Waterboro Group meeting at theWaterboro Public Library. Participants must register at 247-3221. For assistance with fee payment call Ann O'Sullivan at 775-6503.

Wednesday, March 1 at 6:30 p.m. - Lewiston Group meeting at the D'Youville Pavilion, across from the hospital. Enter in the doors under the awning and go to the conference room.

Tuesday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. - Bangor Group meeting at the Families And Children Together office, 304 Hancock Street. Please call in advance for childcare.

Tuesday, March 7 at 6:00 p.m. - Kittery Group meeting at the Family Resource Center, 518 Route 1. A light meal and childcare are provided (please call in advance if childcare is needed.) Pre-registration is required. Call Marsha Kennedy at 451-9291.

Wednesday, March 8 at 6:00 p.m. - Portland Group meeting at the East End Children's Workshop, 215 Congress Street. A speaker from the Women's Project will attend to explain their services for women affected by addiction. Please call Nancy at 591-6278 in advance for childcare.

HOW RELATIVES AS PARENTS CAN HELP

Saturday, March 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. This training will be presented by Barbara Kates and Sue Burgess. It will be held at the Buker Recreational Center at 21 Armory Street in Augusta. Call Noreen at 1-866-298-0896 to register, request childcare and to get directions. (Snow date is march 18)

 

 

Wednesday, March 15 at 6:30 p.m. - Augusta Group meeting in Conference Room 1 at Maine General Hospital.

Saturday, March 18 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. - Bonnie Eagle School District Informational Group meeting at Bonnie Eagle High School. Nancy Robinson will be sharing information about Family Connections and the types of services available. Contact Teresa Prince at 929-9185 for additional information.

Tuesday, March 21 at 6:30 p.m. - Bangor Group meeting at the Families And Children Together office, 304 Hancock Street. Please call in advance for childcare.

Tuesday, March 21 at 10:30 p.m. - Westbrook Group meeting at the Families And Children Together office, 820 Main Street.

Monday, March 27 at 6:30 p.m. - Dover-Foxcroft Group meeting at the Penquis CAP office, 50 North Street. Sue Burgess will be there to discuss evaluations for children: What does your child need and How to make the most of the opportunity. Please call in advance for childcare.

 

****SPECIAL UPCOMING EVENT****

Mardi Gras Celebration on Friday evening, March 24 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Jeff's catering in Brewer! Bring the kids, where a costume and partake in fun family activities!! There will be more information as the date gets closer.

 

Family Connections has a recently upgraded computer donated by a Grampy in southern Maine. The computer and modem would be useful for basic word processing and has the following features: 266 pentium, 97 megabytes ram and 6 gigabytes of HD. This would not have the ability to run sophisticated kids games. Contact Nancy at 591-6278 for more information.
